Samsung air conditioning fitted in London
WindFree wall units spread cool air through thousands of tiny holes.
Samsung air conditioning we fit
WindFree ranges lead Samsung’s air conditioning for homes, with the Luzon S2 and Cebu S2 wall units alongside them. We fit wall, floor, ceiling and multi-split units. These are the main ranges on Samsung’s UK climate site, read on 31 October 2026:

|---|---|---|
| WindFree Première+ | Wall | 2.5, 3.5 |
| WindFree Elite S2 | Wall | 2.0, 2.5, 3.5 |
| WindFree Avant S2 | Wall | 2.0, 2.5, 3.5, 4.2, 5.2, 6.8 |
| WindFree Comfort S2 | Wall | 2.5, 3.5, 5.2, 6.8 |
| Luzon S2 | Wall | 2.5, 3.5, 5.2, 6.8 |

Ranges change, and one range can differ between its single and multi-split sizes, so we check the current model at the survey. Work out a starting size. How multi-splits work.

Which Samsung suits which room
WindFree Cooling suits a bedroom or desk where a draught bothers you, and the slim Console suits a room short of high wall. The detail, by room:
- Bedrooms: WindFree Cooling sends a mild breeze through fine holes in the panel. Good Sleep runs for 30 minutes to 12 hours. Quiet and WindFree Cooling can’t run together, so pick the one you prefer. Cooling a bedroom.
- Living rooms: The WindFree Première+ comes in Essential White or Soapstone Charcoal, and its radar sensor steers the air around up to two people. The Avant S2 also comes in black, up to 3.5 kW.
- Lofts: The Console is 199 mm thick and sits low, so it may fit under a sloping roof. Cooling a loft room.
- Flats: Samsung aims its multi-split at homes with little outdoor space, with up to five indoor units on one outdoor unit. What to agree in a flat.
- Offices: The Motion Detect Sensor on the Elite S2 drops to WindFree mode after 20 minutes with no movement. The Mini 4-Way Cassette goes in the ceiling. How commercial jobs work.
For cleaner air, the Elite S2 and Avant S2 have a Tri-Care filter, and the Première+ has a 4-in-1 filter that also captures PM2.5. Luzon S2, Cebu S2 and Comfort S2 use the Easy Filter Plus.

Servicing a Samsung
Servicing a Samsung follows a schedule in its user manual, which splits the jobs between the owner and a qualified technician. This is the schedule for the AR60F and AR70F models:
| Job | How often | Who does it |
|---|---|---|
| Clean the filter | Every two weeks | Owner |
| Run Freeze Wash | Every two weeks | Owner |
| Clean the WindFree panel | At least monthly | Owner |
| Clean the outside of the outdoor unit | At least yearly | Owner |
| Replace the Tri-Care filter (AR70F models) | Every three years | Owner |
| Clean inside the indoor or outdoor unit | Once a year | Qualified technician |
| Inspect the units, electrics, refrigerant pipes and protections | Once a year | Qualified technician |
The two technician jobs are what a service adds. What a service covers.
Two details catch owners out. Freeze Wash doesn’t run on a multi-split, and water damages a Tri-Care filter, so don’t wash that one.

Samsung fault codes
Samsung fault codes show on the indoor unit’s display, with a blinking indicator. The wall unit manuals explain the display messages below, and Samsung’s UK installation manuals list the fault numbers. If the indicator blinks:
- Write down the code on the display.
- Press Power to turn the unit off, or disconnect the power plug.
- If the indicator keeps blinking, book an engineer and give them the code.
| Display | What it means | Can you fix it? |
|---|---|---|
| CF | Filter-cleaning reminder | Yes. Clean the filter, then reset the reminder in the remote’s Settings menu. |
| CI | Auto Clean indicator. It can look like C1. | Nothing to fix. Auto Clean runs for 10 to 30 minutes. |
| dF | Defrost is running in Heat mode | Nothing to fix. It runs for 5 to 12 minutes. |
| 1 to 99 | Cleaning progress, as a percentage | Nothing to fix. Let it finish. |
| Any other blinking code | A fault, such as E121 for a room sensor | Note it and book an engineer. |
CF needs a clean, not a repair visit. The manual says not to clean inside the unit yourself, so leave the casing and pipes alone. How a repair visit works.

Samsung warranty: what to check
Samsung’s warranty length for air conditioning isn’t on its UK pages, so get it in writing from your installer before you buy. This is what we could read of Samsung’s own terms:
- Length: Samsung’s UK warranty page has no air con line, and its climate site gives no figure.
- Registering: its trade support page has a warranty and registration inbox. Ask your installer whether your unit needs registering, and who does it.
- Yearly service: Samsung says its heat pumps need one to help keep the warranty valid. It doesn’t say the same for air con, but its manual lists yearly technician jobs.
- A certain installer: the manual says a qualified technician or service company must fit the unit. Anything else may void the warranty.
- Who to call: Samsung’s UK support page sends technical questions to your installer.
Ask for the terms on your exact model, and keep the invoice with your service records.

When another make may suit you better
Samsung’s published paperwork is the main gap, so another make may suit you if:
- you want a warranty length you can read before any quote
- you need more than five indoor units on one outdoor unit
We fit nine makes, and we’ll say at the survey if another suits the room better.
Samsung questions
Is Samsung a good make?
Samsung is a good fit if cold draughts bother you, because WindFree Cooling is built around that. Its UK pages give no warranty length for air con, so ask about that before you buy.
Where do I find the model number on a Samsung?
Samsung puts the model and serial number on the bottom of a wall-mounted indoor unit, and on the right side of the outdoor unit. Wall units have model names starting AR.

Do you service a Samsung you didn't fit?
Yes, we service and repair Samsung units other firms fitted. Samsung’s schedule stays the same whoever fitted it, with yearly cleaning inside and a check of the electrics and pipes.
What refrigerant does a Samsung use?
Samsung says its single split, multi-split and commercial split ranges up to 12 kW all use R32. Its UK list shows R410A on larger units, such as the Duct HSP.
What does a Samsung cost to fit?
A Samsung’s price depends on the exact model, so check the name on any quote. A Luzon S2 and a WindFree Elite S2 are very different units. We price each job in writing after the survey. What sets the price.
Can a Samsung use the air-to-air grant?
Samsung calls its split units air-to-air heat pumps, but that alone doesn’t open the grant. The £2,500 is for a system that replaces a home’s main heating, and MCS says no installer is certified yet. How the grant works.
